Each room in Five Bears Den has been thoughtfully curated to mirror the tranquil beauty of its mountainous surroundings, so guests feel at one with nature even while indoors. The majestic high vaulted ceilings, coupled with the rich knotty pine and hardwood floors, immediately invoke the feelings of a grand mountain lodge. The Cabin thoughtfully houses two bedrooms on each floor, offering the optimal privacy for multiple families or groups, making it the ideal setting for shared memories and bonding, while giving you space for privacy. The spacious grounds also offer plenty of space to find a quiet place for conversation or coffee while reading a book or enjoying a view. This Cabin is a short walk to the Big Bear Convention and Events Center, which is home to the World Famous Big Bear Oktoberfest and Wyatt’s Grill and Saloon. It’s also a short walk to Big Bear Snow Play, which is home to both Winter and Summer activities such as Snow and Summer Tubing, a Ropes Course, and Go Carts Speedway. It’s also located close to the two main grocery stores in Big Bear. While air conditioning is absent, nature compensates with its own cooling system - the fresh mountain air. Mountain Transit’s new Free Big Bear Trolley service is here! Three convenient routes (Red, Blue, Gold) take riders to most of the visitor attractions and amenities in Big Bear, including the ski resorts, Boulder Bay, The Village, Supermarkets, and the Airport. For the first time, public transit will serve the Big Bear Airport on a scheduled route. This transportation service will offer convenient and reliable transportation for both locals and visitors and help eliminate traffic congestion and car pollution in the Valley. “Let’s start with the pros: it was a beautiful house, loved the decorations, high ceilings, nice kitchen, big rooms, felt very cabiny but also modern. The cons: a lot of small fixes needed. The floor board was coming up and pinched my foot. Couldn’t open one of the kitchen drawers, the sink faucet was broken and moving all around. A large wad of black hair was left on the upstairs shower wall and some used Qtips, we had to dispose of both which was gross. The nightlight was plugged into the basement bathroom fan spot so when we got out of the shower the smoke alarm went off which woke everyone up panicking. The sheets feel plasticy and not soft. But they were nice and clean. The beds were just OK, not great. If someone would go in and just fix all the weird little stuff it would be a 5 Star but to us this was a 4 star.”

“We stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my son’s 6th birthday with a group of friends and kids, about 13 of us total, and it was awesome. The cabin is very spacious. We had plenty of room for everyone and even an extra bedroom to spare. Everything was very clean and well kept. The kids had a blast, and the hot tub was a big highlight. There are grocery stores just a few minutes away, and getting around was easy. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay here again. 10/10.”

“If you have a big family, this is definitely the place to book! I had a party of 9 from ages 14 - 74 and everyone loved every bit of this cabin! My dad has a hard time walking and there were two rooms (1. two queen beds 2. one bunk bed, but still spacious if you want one person in there only) on the main story where the kitchen and living room are. All had tv's and the downstairs where the arcade area was, it has two bedrooms and normally I would get cold but once you turn on those heater vents (one in each room and bathroom) trust me it gets sooo warm you will have no problem at all. If you want fresh air, plenty of windows! Upstairs was the teenager's area lounge, so cool. The kitchen had everything I needed.Bring your own coffee pods and salt/pepper (I prefer it that way), it just had such a great vibe and there were PLENTY of blankets, pillows added in their appropriate closets. The spa heated up so quick!! literally within minutes! It's top notch spa, not like those older ones.”
